  3. Thank you for purchasing Dream Girl, an incredible interactive multimedia 
  4. video game. We hope you will have hours of fun with it, however
  5. before you start, please take few seconds to read the following page.

  8. System Requirements
  9.  
  10. Dream Girl  requires the following hardware and software to run smoothly :
  11.  
  12. . 386DX or a better computer system
  13.   If  you have a 386SX system the program will still work, but at a much 
  14.   slower speed, you will probably not be able to have a full motion live  
  15.   video display.

  17. . 4 MB of RAM 
  18.  
  19. . Sound card (properly installed with Windows)
  20.   To make sure that your sound card is properly installed under Windows, you
  21.   should be able to hear a sound when you load Windows 3.1. If you never 
  22.   heard any sounds in Windows please check your sound card manuals.

  24. . CD-ROM drive 
  25.   A CD-ROM drive with at least 350 Ms access time or less is recommended,  
  26.   a slower CD-ROM drive will still work but again you may not be able to      
  27.   see full motion video display. Also make sure that you have the latest    
  28.   or fastest software driver installed for you CD-ROM. 
  29.   (Refer to your CD-ROM installation manual)

  31. . Windows 3.1 or later
  32.  
  33. . 5 MB of virtual memory under Windows. (Explained later in this manual)
  34.   To check your virtual memory  under Windows, from the main window click    
  35.   on the CONTROL PANEL icon, and then click on the 386 Enhanced icon, and 
  36.   then press ALT + V for virtual memory. Make sure that the type is permanent memory,    
  37.   and that you are using 32-bit access. The minimum should be at least 5MB. 
  38.   For more information on virtual memory please check your Windows manuals.

  44. . VGA card in a 640X480 mode (standard VGA mode) with 256 colour display.
  45.   Your VGA card should be setup with a resolution of 640X480 and be able to   
  46.   display 256 colours. The game will still work even if you have a 16        
  47.   colour display but the colour of the graphics and video will be washed out   
  48.   and the quality will be very poor. To set your VGA card properly under     
  49.   Windows refer to your VGA manual.

  51. Dream Girl requires  several drivers before it can run properly. If you do not 
  52. install these drivers your system may be unable to  play video clips and 
  53. animations.

  55.   How to install the drivers
  56.  
  57. Step 1 : From the main window in Windows press ALT+F
  58.  
  59. Step 2 : Select R for Run Program
  60.  
  61. Step 3 : Type E:\SETUP.EXE
  62.               (If your CD ROM Drive is E, otherwise if your CD ROM drive is D,  
  63.               type D:\SETUP.EXE, that will install the video
  64.               drivers.

  66. Step 4: Follow the instruction on the screen to install the drivers.

  69. At this point you are ready to install the program.

  71. to run Dream Girl :

  73. Step 1 : From the main window in Windows press ALT+F
  74.  
  75. Step 2 : Select R for Run Program
  76.  
  77. Step 3 : Type E:\DREAMG.EXE
  78.          substitute the letter E: for the letter corresponding to your
  79.          CD-ROM drive.

  82. IF you run into any problems you may call  416-656-6406 and ask for
  83. CD-ROM SOFTWARE SUPPORT or you may fax to CD-ROM SOFTWARE SUPPORT at 
  84. 416-656-6368. Remember you have to register by sending your registration 
  85. card or by faxing it, in order to qualify for technical support.
